Canary Inc. (including its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Company”) recognizes the importance of personal information. In the operation of its websites (hereinafter “the Website”), web systems, and smartphone applications (the latter two hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Systems”), as well as other services, the Company has established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved an internal organizational framework for the protection of personal information.
Please note that “the Website” refers to “corp.canary-app.jp” and includes various subdomains other than “corp.”

- Collection of Personal InformationThe Company shall collect personal information (as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, hereinafter “Personal Information”) by lawful and appropriate means and shall not engage in any unauthorized collection.
- Limitation of Purpose of UseExcept as otherwise required by law, the Company will notify and publicly disclose the purposes for which Personal Information is used, and will use such information only within the scope necessary to achieve those purposes. Measures will be taken to ensure that Personal Information is not handled beyond what is required to fulfill the stated purposes.

- Management of Personal Information Provided by ClientsPersonal Information entrusted by clients will be managed with strict care and used solely within the scope of the contractual purposes. The Company shall not provide or disclose such information to any third party beyond that scope.
- Supervision of Outsourced ProcessingWhen outsourcing the processing of Personal Information, the Company will ensure proper oversight by entering into contracts that require the service providers to comply with the Company’s security standards for personal information protection.
- Compliance with Laws and RegulationsThe Company is committed to protecting Personal Information by strictly adhering to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the guidelines issued by relevant government agencies, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Complaints and InquiriesThe Company has established a designated contact point to promptly, sincerely, and appropriately address any complaints or inquiries regarding the handling of Personal Information.

- When required to promote public health or the sound growth of children and obtaining consent is impractical
- When a government agency, local authority, or an entity entrusted by such bodies requests cooperation for the execution of legally defined duties, and obtaining consent would impede the execution of such duties
- Technical Information Collection (Log Files, Cookies, Web Beacons, etc.)The Website and the Systems collect technical data—such as IP addresses, access frequencies, browser types, operating systems, and other device-related information—through log files, cookies (including those sent from third-party servers for advertisement effectiveness measurement), and web beacons. When using the Systems, additional data such as device IDs and Wi-Fi connection information may also be collected. Users can configure their browsers to refuse cookies; however, this may restrict access to certain services on the Website. These data are solely used for analyzing usage trends and diagnosing issues and are not employed to personally identify individuals.
- Voluntariness of Providing Personal InformationThe provision of Personal Information by Users is voluntary. However, failure to provide the necessary information may prevent the Company from offering certain services.
- Disclosure and Notification Concerning Retained Personal Data or Records of Third-Party ProvisionIn accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Users may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or other actions regarding their Personal Information. - Disclaimer Regarding Legal Exemptions for DisclosureIn accordance with the law, the Company may disclose Personal Information without obtaining Users’ consent when requested by national or local governmental authorities, courts, the police, or other agencies empowered by law or ordinances.
- Supervision of Employees and Outsourced Service ProvidersThe Company conducts regular internal training on security and personal information protection to raise employee awareness. Moreover, when outsourcing all or part of the handling of Personal Information, the Company selects partners capable of proper data management and ensures, through contractual agreements, that appropriate security measures, confidentiality obligations, conditions for subcontracting, and other related requirements are in place and subject to proper oversight.
- Security MeasuresThe Company takes reasonable preventive measures to protect collected Personal Information both online and offline. Access to Personal Information is restricted to personnel with the necessary authority, and measures such as access control, locking systems, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SSL encryption are employed to safeguard the data.
- Use of Personal Information Beyond the Original Collection PurposeIn principle, the Company will not use Personal Information beyond the scope of the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy at the time of collection. Should there be a need to use Personal Information beyond the original purposes, the Company will first obtain the Users’ consent.
- Handling of Personal Information on Linked WebsitesThe Website and the Systems contain various external links. This Privacy Policy applies solely to the Website and the Systems; for any handling of Personal Information on external websites, please refer to the respective privacy policies of those sites. However, in the case of surveys that utilize external ASPs (which may redirect Users to domains outside the Website), the handling of Personal Information will remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
- Notification of Changes to the Privacy Policy and Handling of ComplaintsThe Company periodically reviews and improves the Services and may update this Privacy Policy accordingly. In the event of significant changes, the Company will notify Users via the Website.
